LIU is local intelligence unit and under direct control of SP -report to SP

LIU department is very corrupt and they will ask from Rs 500/- to Rs 1000/- for a passport verification, you can’t escape from this. Although I am not promoting or favouring them but there is no other alternative you can help yourself from these corrupt practices because the entire system is made like this.
I appreciate your concern for raising this issue and generally CBI, I believe must know this fact but they won’t take any actions against them unless and until you have a very sourceful approach of complaining. Rest is if you want hassle free passport service negotiate with them and give them the amount they ask else you can take necessary steps @ your end. Not only this, the constable from Police Station of your area will also ask for the money once the LIU’s report is validated and if you won’t give them the money they wont give the green signal to your passport. Thus entire system is built like this.

This problem come to all of us, no LIU approves the passport form without bribe. Even if all the documents are as per the rule they keep on asking for more documents which are not even required until some bribe has been given….This is not just Pradeep’s problem, its our own problem and instead of asking him to do anything about it we should support him and stand beside him. Since the current issue is with Pradeep, I say that we can make a group of 20-25 people and go with Pradeep to the authority/police station where such a complaint should be registered and then we should make sure to fight till end, till the corrupt officers get punished, settling the matter by clearing the Pradeep’s passport form will not be an answer. We can involve media also if and when required. Count me in if you decide to pursue such an act.

Entire system is corrupt, the best way is a “Sting operation” – Call some News channel, they will be more than happy to do it & hope it will shake the system. This way we can achieve something without getting into trouble.
I an planning to do a sting operation against them throough my hidden camera. I hope they come soon before I would be out of station…
what is fees of LIU For Passport verification 0 rupes or no limite
